How He Started

Knowing he wanted to be out in the elements working as part of a team, there were many options for him. Starting off as a stone mason before moving into the removals sector, Michael has acquired a large amount of experience in many areas throughout his career so far.

He completed a City & Guilds course in Bricklaying, which meant that he was able to broaden his skills before moving into the removals sector. Starting off working for a local removals company, he soon moved on to work for Pickfords Chester where he has stayed and progressed from Porter right up to Move Team Controller. He has driven HGVs throughout Europe and is still enjoying what he does every day.

Where He is Going

There are many options for Michael’s next step on the career ladder including Team Leader, as well as management and training positions. He loves the camaraderie and the adventure that comes with his current role so for the minute will stay put, but in the future there are always possibilities for even bigger responsibility.
