I did leave a feedback form with Steve Burrsill on Monday 15th September to say what a good job I thought he had made of the training that day, and as a new learner HGV driver, how much I had learnt from the course.

I consider myself very lucky to have Steve conducting my next two days training as well on 25th & 26th September. I also left two feedback forms on those days, and he spoke to me on a one to one basis after the first day, so he knows how appreciative I was.

It must be difficult for the trainers with the CPC courses to hit the middle ground when they have a mixed room of experienced HGV drivers who probably know most of the information already, and therefore get bored quite quickly, with complete novices like me who are trying to write as much down as possible to get the most out of the course.

As I am funding this training myself to secure a change in job, I am pleased to say I have come away with a lot more knowledge, and just to repeat what I said on the feedback forms, I think Steve done an excellent job with a good mix of power-point presentations, educational video’s from VOSA and questions to go back over the topic just covered to make sure we understood it.
