Simarco launches black sea routes

Posted on 7th November 2011 By Charlotte Haye

Simarco has launched two new distribution routes to the capitals of Bulgaria and Romania, in partnership with Black Sea region specialist Unimasters Logistics.

The weekly services to Sofia and Bucharest will run from Simarco’s depots in Witham, Essex; Manchester; and Barton-under-Needwood, Staffordshire.

The international logistics specialist says the new routes were prompted by increasing cargo volumes to Eastern Europe, where it already transports goods for the IT, fashion, foodstuffs and leisure sectors.

Simarco MD Simon Reed says: “We believe the services we’re able to offer can support clients in an incredibly diverse range of sectors. It’s a comprehensive operation based on two decades of our own experience and a select number of extremely capable local partners, such as Unimasters Logistics.”

The Black Sea services follow Simarco’s recently launched Turkish routes to Istanbul, Bursa and Izmir, which now transport more than 6,000 tonnes per year from Bury, Lancashire.
