{"id":858,"date":"2012-07-12T13:13:54","date_gmt":"2012-07-12T11:13:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.surreyandhampshirehgvtraining.co.uk\/news\/?p=297"},"modified":"2012-07-12T13:13:54","modified_gmt":"2012-07-12T11:13:54","slug":"amd-international-fined-for-licence-and-tacho-offences","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.surreyandhampshirehgvtraining.co.uk\/index.php\/amd-international-fined-for-licence-and-tacho-offences\/","title":{"rendered":"AMD International fined for licence and tacho offences"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\nThe boss of County Fermanagh haulage company AMD International has been fined a total of \u00a3400 for vehicle licence and tachograph offences.<br \/>\nIn a Driver and Vehicle Agency (DVA) prosecution, Craigavon Magistrates\u2019 Court was told how in August 2011 an artic operated by the Lisnaskea-based business was stopped on the M1 Motorway and taken to the Craigavon DVA test centre for inspection.<br \/>\nDuring the examination it was found that the vehicle did not have a valid road freight vehicle licence and that the tachograph was not sealed in accordance with the regulations, as the rear cover was missing.<br \/>\nDirector Adrian Joseph McDonnell was asked to produce tachograph charts for the vehicle covering a three month period, but failed to do so.<br \/>\nMcDonnell was fined \u00a3100 for the offence of having no road freight vehicle licence, \u00a3150 for the tachograph equipment not being sealed in accordance with the regulations and \u00a3150 for failing to produce tachograph records for inspection.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The boss of County Fermanagh haulage company AMD International has been fined a total of \u00a3400 for vehicle licence and tachograph offences.
