{"id":847,"date":"2012-06-18T10:18:08","date_gmt":"2012-06-18T08:18:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.surreyandhampshirehgvtraining.co.uk\/news\/?p=273"},"modified":"2012-06-18T10:18:08","modified_gmt":"2012-06-18T08:18:08","slug":"gse-group-sells-tipper-arm-to-tw-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.surreyandhampshirehgvtraining.co.uk\/index.php\/gse-group-sells-tipper-arm-to-tw-services\/","title":{"rendered":"GSE Group sells tipper arm to TW Services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kent-based construction firm <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gse-group.com\/overview.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GSE Group<\/a> has sold off its tipper haulage arm to waste management operator <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tw-services.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TW Services<\/a>, but it will continue to host the business from its Ashford premises.<\/p>\n<p>GSE director Colin Wright says the sale of GSE Haulage enables it to focus on development of its Waterbrook Park site, in order to build office, warehousing and industrial buildings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur staff have transferred over to TW Services,\u201d he confirms. \u201cThey are actually operating the vehicles and workshop from our premises. We have gone into it as a joint venture because TW Services are going to be tipping into Waterbrook.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wright says the sale includes the name and eight lorries: \u201cAt one time we had 25 tipper lorries; with the recession taking a hold, particularly in the construction business, we thought this was too good an opportunity not to miss. TWS have a vast amount of experience with haulage and landfill.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>All eight drivers have transferred over to the new company under TUPE arrangements.
