{"id":845,"date":"2012-06-11T18:48:49","date_gmt":"2012-06-11T16:48:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.surreyandhampshirehgvtraining.co.uk\/news\/?p=269"},"modified":"2017-10-17T15:25:00","modified_gmt":"2017-10-17T15:25:00","slug":"drivers-and-operators-urged-to-keep-on-top-of-driver-cpc-training-via-online-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.surreyandhampshirehgvtraining.co.uk\/index.php\/drivers-and-operators-urged-to-keep-on-top-of-driver-cpc-training-via-online-service\/","title":{"rendered":"Drivers and operators urged to keep on top of Driver CPC training via online service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dft.gov.uk\/dsa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Driving Standards Agency<\/a> (DSA) has reminded drivers that they can check that their Driver CPC periodic training has been recorded by accessing their<a href=\"http:\/\/www.direct.gov.uk\/en\/Diol1\/DoItOnline\/Doitonlinemotoring\/DG_201177\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> online training record.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The DSA service allows drivers to see how many hours of training they\u2019ve done; see which courses they\u2019ve attended; and create a temporary password for their employer or potential employer to view their training record.<\/p>\n<p>The last point is of particular interest after DSA confirmed recently that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.commercialmotor.com\/latest-news\/operators-and-drivers-each-face-%C2%A31-000-drivercpc-fine\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">both drivers and their employers would each face a \u00a31,000 fine<\/a> if an employee is caught behind the wheel without a Driver Qualification Card.<\/p>\n<p>A recent report by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.skillsforlogistics.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Skills for Logistics<\/a> suggests <a href=\"http:\/\/www.commercialmotor.com\/latest-news\/two-thirds\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">nearly two-thirds of LGV drivers have yet to do any training to meet the 2014 deadline<\/a> for mandatory Driver CPC accreditation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) has reminded drivers that they can check that their Driver CPC periodic training has been recorded by accessing their online training record.
