{"id":841,"date":"2012-05-30T11:25:06","date_gmt":"2012-05-30T09:25:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.surreyandhampshirehgvtraining.co.uk\/news\/?p=260"},"modified":"2012-05-30T11:25:06","modified_gmt":"2012-05-30T09:25:06","slug":"fairfuel-uk-wins-pr-campaign-of-the-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.surreyandhampshirehgvtraining.co.uk\/index.php\/fairfuel-uk-wins-pr-campaign-of-the-year\/","title":{"rendered":"FairFuel UK wins PR campaign of the year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fairfueluk.com\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FairFuelUK<\/a> (FFUK) has won the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cipr.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chartered Institute of Public Relation\u2019s Public Affairs<\/a> campaign of the year, having been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.commercialmotor.com\/latest-news\/fairfueluk-shortlisted-in-prestigious-pr-awards\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">shortlisted early this month.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>It beat Macmillan, Maitland Political and The Royal British Legion to the prestigious title, revealed at a ceremony held at the London Hilton on Park Lane yesterday (28 May).<\/p>\n<p>The judges were impressed by \u201cthe passion, commitment and professionalism of the team, and the extent to which the results affected the UK population in the widest sense\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The use of public affairs techniques including campaigning stunts, direct Parliamentary involvement and social media engagement in a strategic and planned approach, were also praised.<\/p>\n<p>FFUK\u2019s current push to garner support to table <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fairfueluk.com\/amendment.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an amendment to the Finance Bill<\/a> (CM 24 May) and get August\u2019s 3ppl fuel duty rise scrapped is gaining momentum.<\/p>\n<p>So far 38 MPs have pledged their support and FFUK has upped its<a href=\"http:\/\/action.fairfueluk.com\/page\/speakout\/ammendment-ask\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> \u201cemail your MP\u201d<\/a> target to 50,000 having surpassed its previous 25,000 target\u00a0 with 25,867 emails sent to MPs via its website in a fortnight.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FairFuelUK (FFUK) has won the Chartered Institute of Public Relation\u2019s Public Affairs campaign of the year, having been shortlisted early this month.
