This must be conducted independently \u2014 your own GP can carry this out, or we can refer you to a local medical centre. We&#8217;ll support you through the provisional Category C licence application at the same time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"><strong>Step 2: Theory test<\/strong> You&#8217;ll need to pass two elements before moving to practical training:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"[li_&amp;]:mb-0 [li_&amp;]:mt-1 [li_&amp;]:gap-1 [&amp;:not(:last-child)_ul]:pb-1 [&amp;:not(:last-child)_ol]:pb-1 list-disc flex flex-col gap-1 pl-8 mb-3\">\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">Multiple choice questions<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">Hazard perception test<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">If applicable, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surreyandhampshirehgvtraining.co.uk\/index.php\/cpc-2\/\">CPC Module 2<\/a> is also required at this stage. We provide access to online revision materials and mock tests to help you prepare, and we&#8217;ll book your theory test once you&#8217;re ready.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"><strong>Step 3: Practical training (4 days)<\/strong> Training takes place over 4 days with DVSA-approved instructors in a modern HGV vehicle.
