At Surrey & Hampshire HGV Training we can also provide LGV training. If you would like a driving career but are put of by the size of HGV trucks, LGV training could be for you. Opting for LGV training means that you would learn to drive a smaller truck (over 3,500kg, usually used for making local deliveries). Our LGV driver training course is specifically designed to guide you through every stage required to gain your LGV licence quickly and safely.
Licence Categories

Category C/Class 2/Rigid HGV Training Courses
This licence will enable successful candidates to drive any rigid goods vehicles over 3500kgs. To qualify for this you must hold a full car licence and be medically fit and now you can learn to drive this vehicle from 18 years old.
Category C+E/Class 1/Artic HGV Training Courses
This licence is required to drive goods vehicles over 3500kgs with a trailer over 750kgs. Since January 1997 drivers are now required to pass Category C prior to taking a C+E course and test.
